Toys for Tots hosted its first charity golf scramble Monday morning at CrossWinds Golf Course—teams played to raise funds for local children in need.

Youth ambassador Darby Meredith said all money raised will help purchase toys while last year the program distributed nearly 100,000 toys to over 31,000 children.

Runners, families and volunteers gathered Saturday evening at Chaney’s Dairy Barn for the Bowling Green Athletic Club’s 9th Annual Stuff the Bus Family Fun Run—an event supporting the Stuff the Bus Foundation that provides school supplies to local classrooms.
