- ➤ Atomic Kitchen, a new retro-themed restaurant at Stadium Park Plaza in Bowling Green, opened its soft service on June 18 led by former Bowling Green Hot Rods president Eric Leach—customers enjoyed 1980s décor with vintage arcade games and movie props. - ➤ Officials said work continued on the $2 billion AESC battery plant in Bowling Green despite a Wall Street Journal report on June 17 that claimed construction had halted. The plant, which began construction in August 2022 (with local government support), is expected to create 2,000 jobs and shift its focus to energy storage while starting some functions later in 2025 and becoming fully operational by 2027.
