- ➤ The Tennessee Valley Authority announced over $2.3 million in funding for energy and classroom upgrades at local schools. Bowling Green High School, Edmonson County 5th/6th Center, Edmonson County Middle, and North Warren Elementary each received $10,000—TVA plans to enroll up to 120 new schools in its School Uplift program. - ➤ Cherry Hall renovation plans released on May 1 have sparked protest by community members and alumni who worry the design will remove the building’s historic look. The team has turned its season around by winning 12 of 17 contests in April and May — a change that sets them up for strong postseason play. WNKY
