  • 7 Brew opened its fourth Bowling Green location at 2855 Nashville Road and donated $1,872 to the Stuff the Bus Foundation during a donation weekend from March 14-16. The store held a Swag Day on March 29 and will add 50 jobs — reinforcing its connection with the community.  WBKO

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Shinsung ST USA announced plans for a $53.5 million facility in Franklin's Henderson Interstate Industrial Park — the 300,000-square-foot plant is set to create 100 new jobs. The company, marking its first U.S. operation, will eventually generate over $200 million in sales revenue — boosting the local economy over the next ten years.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Bowling Green was named No. 1 for economic growth among cities with fewer than 200,000 people by Site Selection Magazine for the second year in a row, local leaders said. Gov. Andy Beshear visited the city to celebrate the award—he said the strong community spirit helped drive the growth.  WNKY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • BGISD approved its four-year District Facilities Plan Monday (April 2) that calls for new elementary schools with storm shelters and upgrades to Bowling Green Junior High and three other schools. The plan passed after a 30-minute public hearing with no comments and sets major projects from 2026 to 2028 with other improvements planned after 2028.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Bowling Green High School celebrated its new Career and Technical Education building on April 2 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Governor Andy Beshear. The 19,000-square-foot facility was built with $8.3 million from the Better Kentucky Plan and a 10% match by BGISD—housing three programs with an HVAC course set to start next school year in partnership with Southern Kentucky Community and Technical College.  WBKO

  • Today, Kentucky Transportation Secretary Jim Gray signed an order that temporarily suspends restrictions on commercial vehicles bringing debris removal, fuel, and power restoration supplies to areas hit by severe weather — drivers must follow safety protocols and keep a copy of the order in their cabs.  WBKO
