- ➤ BGISD board approved its four-year facilities plan last week, which calls for a new W.R. McNeill Elementary and a new Potter Gray Elementary—each with a storm shelter—to be built after 2028 and includes renovations and security upgrades at BGJHS and other schools scheduled between 2026 and 2028. The district will hold a public hearing on March 31 at 5:30 p.m. before a special session vote at 6 p.m. to finalize detailed construction plans. Bowling Green Daily News
