  • On Christmas Eve, the Bowling Green Fire Department & Toys for Tots volunteers loaded trucks at the North Pole for Christmas morning toy deliveries.  WBKO
  • On Christmas Eve, Toys for Tots Southern Kentucky and the Bowling Green Fire Department loaded bags and bicycles for toy deliveries, with the Housing Authority selecting families (and box trucks donated by Fireman Moving Company) to support the tradition.  WNKY
  • Local reporter Jessica Heffinger reported on Community Driven that a recent Murder Mystery Dinner, supported by The Mint Gaming Hall, Nothing Bundy Cakes & American Bank and Trust, raised funds for Glory Baby Ministry in Bowling Green.  WNKY

  • WKU Football rallied in the 2025 New Orleans Bowl Tuesday night at Caesars Superdome to beat Southern Miss 27-16. Quarterback Maverick McIvor threw for 199 yards & one touchdown and was named bowl MVP.  WNKY
  • WKU men's basketball forward Grant Newell was named Player of the Week after a career-best 28-point game against Tulsa last week; the senior from Chicago (averaging 20 points, 7.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks) played 34 minutes with nine rebounds.  WNKY
  • Edmonson County senior forward Cariann Williams achieved triple doubles on Wed, Dec. 24 — with 26 points, 21 rebounds and 10 blocks against Warren Central then 28 points, 18 rebounds and 16 blocks against South Warren — crediting her teammates.   • Weston Shelton hit a game-winning 3-pointer with four seconds left to give Barren County a 56-55 win over Allen County-Scottsville on Thursday. The Trojans will play Springfield at the H&H Holiday Hoopfest at Logan County on Friday.  Bowling Green Daily News
