  • Today, Kroger announced plans to build a $391 million distribution center in Simpson County. It will create 430 full-time jobs, follow a $224 million expansion at its Country Oven in Bowling Green, and receive up to $1 million in tax incentives (as part of the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act), officials said.  Bowling Green Daily News

  • On Saturday, the WKU football team took over the New Orleans Saints Practice Facility to prepare for Tuesday’s New Orleans Bowl — two Hilltoppers received postseason recognitions during their trip to New Orleans.  WNKY
  • WKU fell to Tulsa 82-81 Friday night at E. A. Diddle Arena. Tulsa secured the win — a final three-pointer by guard Miles Barnstable, and WKU will return to Conference USA play on Dec. 29 in Jacksonville, Alabama.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Western Kentucky’s women’s basketball team lost 59-58 at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga on Friday as a last-second play handed the win to the Mocs. Key players led the team throughout the game before the final buzzer sealed the outcome.  Bowling Green Daily News
