- ➤ The Salvation Army has been offering an overflow shelter for up to 40 people on cold nights when temperatures drop below 35 degrees. The service has provided a safe place for residents for about 15 days around Thanksgiving. WBKO
- ➤ FHLB Cincinnati has allocated nearly $3M through its Affordable Housing Program to support three local rental projects—Community 461 and LifeWorks Annex in Bowling Green and Houston Heights in Scottsville. The funding will help create almost 3,000 affordable units across the region. WNKY
- ➤ A Greenwood High freshman, 15, expanded her 'Winter for the Homeless' project that began in 2019 by collecting backpacks with food, hygiene items, and warm gear for those in need across Bowling Green. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Bowling Green High School held a Holidays from Around the World event Wednesday afternoon as 130 students from 17 countries shared food, games, and cultural presentations in the basketball arena, auxiliary gym, and performing arts center. - ➤ Shirley Solzman, a first grade teacher at Foundation Christian Academy, was named National Teacher of the Year by the National Christian School Association.
