- ➤ Bowling Green residents can join a bowl-making event on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Warren County Public Library IDEA Lab to make bowls for the 13th Empty Bowls fundraiser on March 19 at Broadway United Methodist Church; funds support local food charities. WNKY
- ➤ On Monday afternoon, the Rotary Club held its sixth annual shoe donation drive at Dishman McGinnis Elementary and gave 100 new pairs of shoes to students in need. The club will visit five local schools to hand out hundreds more pairs—providing extra support to local families. WNKY

- ➤ UFS ARK, a new international joint venture, launched in Bowling Green and will develop fiber-optic hydrogen detection systems to boost local technology jobs and training in partnership with Western Kentucky University (WKU President Timothy Caboni said the effort supports a future-focused economy). - ➤ TVA and Bicentennial Volunteers Inc are awarding $1.5 million in STEM grants to educators at Kentucky schools including Bowling Green, with awards up to $5,000 intended to boost science, technology, engineering & math learning.
