- ➤ Boyce Community Center is holding a Christmas parade on Sunday, Dec. 7 to raise donations for Toys for Tots. Participants can enter with at least one new toy and enjoy a special appearance by Santa in Alvaton. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ The Kentucky Center for Leadership announced four board members, a manufacturing partnership with KAAP, and named John Gregory as its first executive director in a Thursday release from WKU Innovation Campus. The nonprofit will use these moves to expand leadership training statewide (KC4L’s goal). WNKY
- ➤ GM Bowling Green Assembly awarded $200,000 to five local nonprofits focused on STEAM education and road safety. The funds, shared with the Chamber of Commerce, Green River Regional Education Cooperative, United Way, Lost River Cave and the Governor’s Scholars Program, will inspire young problem solvers. WNKY

- ➤ On Thursday, Dec. 4, Ashlee Wilson joined Amber Turner & Ella Glass on Sunrise Spotlight to discuss the 23rd Best Christmas Pageant Ever and its role in local holiday traditions. The segment highlighted a well-loved seasonal event for the community. WNKY
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Tuesday, the Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority hosted its annual Appreciation Luncheon at Franklin-Simpson High School, honoring Paul Raines, Simpson County Schools, and others for boosting the local economy. Leaders announced investments from Shinsung ST USA and Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems that will create 176 jobs and nearly $79 million in investment. WNKY

- ➤ Warren County Parks and Recreation proposed a 5-7 year strategic plan at a Fiscal Court meeting on Thursday to address park maintenance needs and future projects for a growing community. Data from a February citizen survey helped shape the plan for critical improvements. WBKO
- ➤ Throwback Thursday recalls former lawmaker William Natcher, who secured funding for Western Kentucky University buildings and purchased local landmarks (including caves later integrated into Mammoth Cave National Park) in Bowling Green and Warren County.
