- ➤ Today, the ninth annual Cookies with Santa event in Bowling Green honored founder Robin, who started the tradition after her cancer diagnosis (she wanted to bring hope to local families). Families met Santa, enjoyed special animal guests, and took part in toy donations to Toys for Tots (continuing Robin’s holiday vision). WBKO
- ➤ On Thursday, the Rotary Club of Bowling Green donated 500 pairs of shoes and 100 pairs of socks to students at five local elementary schools — Jennings Creek, Parker-Bennett-Curry, Bristow, Warren and Dishman-McGinnis. - ➤ Rental Family is a heartwarming film that stars Brendan Fraser as Phillip, an actor in Tokyo who begins a new job with a company that offers rental family services and forms bonds with a young girl and a retired actor. - ➤ A new book titled When the Bluegrass Ran Red will explore Bowling Green’s past crime & corruption and offers a first look at its cover. Acclaim Press will publish the book & the release date is yet to be confirmed. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ The film Wicked For Good is the second part of the Wicked saga that shows Elphaba in exile after she learns the Wizard is not who he seems. - ➤ Today, education writer Daniel Buck published an essay that showed many students spend long hours on screens in class—55 percent use devices 1-4 hours and 27 percent use them 5 hours daily. The essay said WKU professor Gary Houchens and others believe students learn better with books and writing than by using digital tools. Bowling Green Daily News

- ➤ Blood Assurance is offering a $50 gift card to all O-negative and platelet donors from today through November 30—each donor will also receive a long-sleeve 'Sleighin’ It' t-shirt as an extra thank you. The blood drive at Greenwood Mall on November 24 from Noon to 6 p.m. will help meet patient needs during Thanksgiving week. WBKO

- ➤ Western Kentucky swept Kennesaw State 3-0 in Miami and advanced to the Conference USA Volleyball Tournament championship match—scheduled for today at 11 a.m. CT against FIU. Three players scored in double digits and seven team blocks helped the Hilltoppers secure their win. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ South Warren’s Spartans beat Henderson County 49—21 in the Class 6A quarterfinals at South Warren High School on November 21st by pulling away with a strong second half; the undefeated 12—0 team clinched a second straight region title and will face Ryle in the semifinals on November 28th. - ➤ On Saturday night, Western Kentucky lost 13-10 to LSU at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge after leading most of the first half and relying on a strong defense against the Tigers; the loss drops the Hilltoppers to 8-3 for the season.
