He will use temporally shaped picosecond laser pulses to sculpt platinum-nickel nanoparticles — a method that may produce more efficient hydrocarbon conversion while involving both graduate and undergraduate students in the research. - ➤ A road widening project on Louisville Road near Transpark will disrupt a nearly 30-year-old memorial that honors 9-year-old Matthew Stidham, who was killed in a car accident. - ➤ The Warren County Sheriff’s Office launched Operation Warm Up Warren County to collect gently used winter clothes — a drive set up at Sugar Maple Square to help people stay safe during the cold weather and support the sheriff’s crisis response unit. - ➤ Western Kentucky left tackle Marshall Jackson was named the Conference USA Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday after helping the Hilltoppers post 642 yards in a 42-26 Senior Day win at Houchens-Smith Stadium—marking his second time earning the honor.
