- ➤ Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society has partnered with Spine Stop Chiropractic to offer $25 adoption fees on dogs and cats today through Nov. 9, and the fee covers spay-neuter, shots, and microchipping. The shelter at 1924 Louisville Road will be open during regular business hours to help local residents adopt pets as colder weather approaches. WNKY

- ➤ The WKU Society of Black Alumni disaffiliated from Western after HB4 forced the university to require changes to its identity—specifically removing 'Black' from its name and mission—and the group will seek 501(c)(3) status to continue supporting scholarships and advocacy programs. - ➤ On November 5th, WKU moved to take six properties by eminent domain to build its new Academic Complex after talks with owners failed. WKU said the action is for public use — local property owners plan to fight the move in court. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Women in public office remembered Governor Martha Layne Collins—Kentucky’s first female governor from 1983 to 1987—and said her trailblazing work opened doors for more women in government.
