- ➤ Ian Ramsey with KBBC and Natasha Smith with BikeWalk BG announced a community bike ride and meeting that will be featured on Midday Live with Kelly — locals are invited to join as event details are finalized. WBKO
- ➤ Former Warren County sheriff Jerry ‘Peanuts’ Gaines, who served for 40 years and passed away at 88 on Oct. 22, was honored at a visitation at Hillvue Heights church where locals shared their memories; his public visitation continues today from 8 a.m. until his funeral begins at 11 a.m.—burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. - ➤ The Kentucky Veterans Brigade held its monthly fundraiser at the Veterans Alliance Center in Bowling Green on Monday, serving chili, chili dogs — and chili in a bag to community members. Proceeds from the event support veterans by helping meet food needs and providing about 100 food boxes each month. WNKY
- ➤ Warren County Public Schools will host a frozen turkey drive to help local families this holiday season—donations will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the WCPS Central Office on 303 Lovers Lane from Nov. 3 to Nov. 14. WNKY
- ➤ House on the Hill Inc.—a local nonprofit—said that its food programs will run as usual this November despite the government shutdown; current clients will shop on Nov 14-15 at The Grocery Richardsville and receive food boxes on Nov 22 while new clients must show a government-issued ID, proof of income and residency, and food stamp documentation. - ➤ Country Oven Bakery will invest $224,000,000 to expand its facility on Pioneer drive in Bowling Green for cake, cookie, and bread production for Kroger. The expansion is expected to create more manufacturing and support additional non-manufacturing jobs across the community. WNKY

- ➤ The first-ever Porter Parish Grainger Blues Festival will be held from Nov.20-22 in Bowling Green and features live blues performances, workshops, and panel discussions that honor the legacy of the Kentucky artist and spotlight the historic Shake Rag District—announced by the Jack Dappa Blues Heritage Preservation Foundation. - ➤ Redshirt freshman quarterback Rodney Tisdale Jr. is set to make his first home start for Western Kentucky at Houchens-Smith Stadium Saturday at 2:30 p.m. after he helped lead the team to a 28-27 overtime win at Louisiana Tech on Tuesday; Coach Tyson Helton said he will assess Tisdale's performance and Maverick McIvor's recovery during this week's practice. - ➤ Barren County Trojans held off the Dragons 38-32 at Warren Central in a game that turned from a low-scoring first quarter into a shootout—featuring key runs by Briggs Harris and Corbin Wells which improved their record to 4‑5 overall and 2‑2 in Class 5A District 2. - ➤ Craig Albernaz, who led the Hot Rods to their first championship in 2018, was named manager of the Orioles on Monday — he is the second Hot Rods manager to reach MLB. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Western Kentucky University and Houchens Industries announced a 10-year deal that created the Houchens Industries Athletic District—covering key sports facilities such as E.A. Diddle Arena, Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium, Nick Denes Field, the WKU Soccer/Softball Complex, and the Tim and Sarah Ford Fieldhouse; the agreement runs through the 2033–34 athletic season.
