- ➤ The Hardin Planetarium at WKU held a free Moon-Beings show on Sunday that explained where to search for life beyond Earth and offers free shows on Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. The planetarium will also host a telescope viewing event on Tuesday, October 14th at 8 p.m.—it holds a fundraising event featuring Pink Floyd music on Friday. - ➤ Dave Foster, who is 66, leads the restoration of Hidden River Cave and the museum near Horse Cave, where about 25,000 visitors a year now explore the improved 10-mile system. He plans to update the museum exhibits with new technology before he retires—building on a lifelong passion for cave exploration. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Pug owners gathered in Bowling Green last week at Sloan Convention Center for the National Specialty Show—organized by the Pug Dog Club of America—that featured pug competitions, health tests and vendor booths selling pug merchandise.
