  • Byrider Bowling Green will host a trunk-or-treat event on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 2210 Russellville Road, where families—local residents—can enjoy decorated trunks with candy, games, and prizes while children wear costumes.  WNKY
  • The Bowling Green Fire Department visited the Bowling Green Learning Center during Fire Prevention Week to teach students fire safety and warn of the dangers of lithium ion batteries—officials advise using battery powered decorations and staying alert in the kitchen this holiday season.  WNKY

  • Cultivate Behavioral Health and Education will host a sensory-friendly trunk or treat for children with autism on October 17th from 5 to 7 PM at its East clinic at 165 Natchez Trace Avenue — the event is designed to offer a calm and inclusive way for neurodivergent kids to celebrate Halloween.  WNKY

  • On Wednesday night, the Bowling Green girls soccer team won a 1-0 game against Greenwood in the 14th District final after two overtime periods plus penalty kicks, and both teams will play in the 4th Region Tournament starting October 12 at South Warren High School.  WNKY
  • Glasgow freshman Maria Ramos scored two second-half goals as the Lady Scotties rallied to a 3-1 win over host Warren East on Sunday—earning their first district title since 2015 and setting up a Region 4 Tournament game at South Warren starting this coming Sunday.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Western Kentucky redshirt freshman Ethan Smith was named Conference USA Men’s Golfer of the Week after tying for 14th at the shortened tournament set for 36 holes on Tuesday. He shot 71 in the first round at even par and 70 in the second round, one stroke under par — his performance earned the honor and the team will play at the Purdue Fall Invitational on Oct. 13-14.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Tuesday morning, the final rounds of Leachman Buick GMC’s KHSAA Golf State Championship began at Bowling Green Country Club where 90 individual golfers competed and nine school teams participated, including Bowling Green after its first semi-state win. Senior Caroline Childers led the group with a 78—other local players finished close behind.  WNKY
  • WKU Basketball will kick off the 2025-26 season with a tipoff luncheon scheduled for October 21 at 11:30 a.m. at the Knicely Conference Center on South Campus — both Head Coaches will speak and tickets cost $25 per person or $200 for a table of eight, so reservations should be made early given the limited seating.  WBKO
  • Warren East quarterback Xavier Isable threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns in the 30-14 win over Allen County-Scottsville—receivers Brayden Lightfoot and Logan Boyer each gained over 100 yards.
