- ➤ Glasgow freshman Maria Ramos scored two second-half goals as the Lady Scotties rallied to a 3-1 win over host Warren East on Sunday—earning their first district title since 2015 and setting up a Region 4 Tournament game at South Warren starting this coming Sunday. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Western Kentucky redshirt freshman Ethan Smith was named Conference USA Men’s Golfer of the Week after tying for 14th at the shortened tournament set for 36 holes on Tuesday. He shot 71 in the first round at even par and 70 in the second round, one stroke under par — his performance earned the honor and the team will play at the Purdue Fall Invitational on Oct. 13-14. - ➤ Tuesday morning, the final rounds of Leachman Buick GMC’s KHSAA Golf State Championship began at Bowling Green Country Club where 90 individual golfers competed and nine school teams participated, including Bowling Green after its first semi-state win. - ➤ WKU Basketball will kick off the 2025-26 season with a tipoff luncheon scheduled for October 21 at 11:30 a.m. at the Knicely Conference Center on South Campus — both Head Coaches will speak and tickets cost $25 per person or $200 for a table of eight, so reservations should be made early given the limited seating.
