- ➤ WKU hosted its second Fall Festival on the Hill Wednesday on the South Lawn where students and community members had fun making s'mores, smashing pumpkins, painting, drinking apple cider, and hearing ghost stories on the Bowling Green Trolley. Campus groups including Health and Human Services, Gordon Ford College of Business, Texas Roadhouse, and the Bowling Green Police Department worked together to offer a break from midterms — organizers say the event will be held each year. - ➤ Warren County Public Schools approved an operating working budget on Monday that is nearly 10% higher than the previous version to cover increased teacher salaries, bus purchases, full-time preschool, and safety upgrades — officials said the budget remains healthy as salary and benefit costs are about 82% of revenue. - ➤ Today the Kentucky State Board of Electric Generation and Transmission Siting Board will hold a 12 p.m. evidentiary hearing on Wood Duck Solar’s 2,259-acre project in Barren County—stakeholders can ask questions before the board votes on the proposal by Nov. 14.
