- ➤ Logan County begins its annual Tobacco and Heritage Festival today — Rogers said the event makes you love small town living. WBKO
- ➤ The 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is set to take place Saturday at Bowling Green Ballpark—participants will check in at 9 a.m., join a Promise Garden Ceremony at 10:15 a.m., and walk a one-mile route to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Area families in Bowling Green will enjoy the final Blockbusters at the Ballpark summer movie on October 18 with a showing of the film WICKED at the Ballpark—gates open at 5 p.m. with a costume contest for kids at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starting at 6 p.m.; if the weather is bad, the event will move to November 1. - ➤ The Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society is asking for donations because it is low on cat litter, dry and canned cat food, and puppy formula needed to care for its animals. - ➤ Broadway fans at SKYPAC got a sneak peek during Broadway Happy Hour when Artistic Director Diane DiCroce and the songwriting team previewed the season's shows. The season will begin November 21 with The Best Gift: A Christmas Carol Musical — Steel Magnolias will play in February — Chicago: The Musical will be on March 19 — Hadestown in May — and Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame will run from June 26 to 28. - ➤ Bowling Green Junior High School has launched the new JAG Program to help students build skills for life—using teacher, counselor, and coach recommendations to select participants. - ➤ Household Hazardous Waste Day will be held on October 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Warren County Salt Barn — 999 Lauren Avery Drive near Bristow Elementary School, where Warren County and Bowling Green partners will use certified teams to safely recycle hazardous and electronic waste from local households. Later, bg262 and its related races will run on November 1 and 2 with courses through downtown and WKU to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and honor Susan B. Riherd.
