  • The National Corvette Museum is offering exclusive tours of the GM Bowling Green Assembly Plant during Fall Break—costing $50 per person—that will let families and Corvette fans see behind the scenes of how Corvettes are made, with tours available daily during the weeks of September 29 and October 6 and advance registration required.  WBKO

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana will hold a Walk To End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 4 at Bowling Green Ballpark to honor those affected with a Promise Garden ceremony—walkers will join after the 9:00 a.m. opening, carrying colored flowers to show their connection to the disease.  WBKO

  • Greenwood senior Justin Doran won the Gatorland Run at Phil Moore Park on Saturday, September 20—pulling ahead by eight seconds—despite high temperatures that forced him to adjust his pace and build crucial momentum for his team as the postseason neared.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • WKU defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack 31-16 on Saturday, September 20 at home. Quarterback Maverick McIvor — a Western Kentucky graduate — led key passes that drove the win.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Western Kentucky’s volleyball team wrapped up the Alyssa Cavanaugh Classic with a 3-0 sweep over Austin Peay on Saturday at E.A. Diddle Arena, with several players contributing key kills and blocks. The Hilltoppers, now 9-3, will travel north on Monday to face No. 3 Louisville at the KFC Yum!   • Earlier today, hundreds of runners participated in the Med Center Health 5K and 10K, and the race featured a new route finishing near the Bowling Green Ballpark—Aaron Dickens won the 5K.  WBKO
  • Bowling Green Purples earned their first win of the season on Friday night with a 42—7 victory over Barren County as freshman quarterback Anthony Davis threw 4 touchdown passes—three of which were over 40 yards.
