ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A vehicle rolled off I-65 on Saturday afternoon at mile marker 42.6 in Warren County—bystanders helped and emergency crews extricated a trapped passenger while one person was taken by ambulance and another by helicopter. WBKO
- ➤ Multiple fire departments & emergency services responded to a single-vehicle accident at the 42.6 mile marker on I-65 Northbound Saturday, extricating one passenger and transporting one individual to a local hospital while another was flown to a regional trauma center as the investigation continues. - ➤ Twenty-five firefighters responded at about 5:18 p.m. on Loving Way when a four-year-old girl died in a house fire—investigators are still working to determine the cause. WBKO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Attorney General Russell Coleman said nearly 2,000 police officers have already been fitted with life-saving body armor through a program funded by a $15 million appropriation from the General Assembly—phase two will provide harder gear like helmets, plates and shields to improve officer safety.
