- ➤ On Monday, September 1, Kentucky State Police said a collision on I-65 near the 15-mile northbound marker left 80-year-old Garland Johnson dead when his 1998 Cadillac hit Mesa Reinier’s 2017 Jaguar just before 5 p.m.—Mesa Reinier was airlifted to Tristar Skyline Medical Center for treatment. - ➤ Quinton Hampton, 39, of Auburn is set to begin his jury trial on Wednesday in Warren Circuit Court after being accused of fatally shooting Darrius Wickware, 30, outside a Bowling Green residence at Brookwood Mobile Home Park on Dec. 30, 2023—he also faces charges of tampering with physical evidence and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun. - ➤ Bowling Green city commissioners will hold the first reading today on a new ordinance that tightens rules for massage businesses to help block sex trafficking. The measure requires a $50 annual license—background checks and inspections are needed—to aid police in stopping operations tied to six trafficking cases since 2017. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Today, the Bowling Green/Warren County Metropolitan Planning Organization approved its 2050 Transportation Plan that outlines 45 projects and 61 additional proposals such as bike lanes and traffic lights to address future growth.
