- ➤ David Anthony Proffitt went to court Monday in Bowling Green and his murder trial may be delayed next month because the key witness—Dr. Amy Burroughs-Beckham—is not available to testify in person; if the judge denies using her deposition, the trial set for Sept. 23 will be rescheduled. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, the Warren County school board voted 2—3 to block a plan by LifeWise Academy that would let Alvaton Elementary students leave school early for character-based Bible education at Eastwood Baptist Church. LifeWise Academy said it will re-propose the program and work to address board concerns over safety and unclear curriculum rules. Bowling Green Daily News
