  • Two people were arrested at a Highland Drive home on Wednesday for suspected drug trafficking—detectives from the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force obtained a search warrant and seized drugs, handguns, tablets, and cash during a surveillance investigation.  Bowling Green Daily News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Claire Lanham, the first Buddy House student in WKU’s SAV-Y program, began classes Tuesday and met sorority sisters at Alpha Gamma Delta. She also won a $1,000 Beyond Limits scholarship from the Down Syndrome Center of South Central Kentucky & her enrollment hopes to open more opportunities for students with Down syndrome.  Bowling Green Daily News

  • Warren County is under a burn ban ordered by Judge Executive Doug Gorman due to extreme dryness — anyone who violates the order will face fines ranging from $50 to $500.  WBKO

  • Joseph Ross—Logan County attorney—was named to a new 10-member Child Support Advisory Council created by Attorney General Russell Coleman to advise on child support services. The council will guide efforts to improve policies and training to help Kentucky families.  WBKO
