- ➤ The fifth annual Topper Fest on South Lawn was held on Aug. 15, drawing WKU students, faculty, staff & local residents to mark the end of the M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan and the start of the academic year with live music, autographs, and fireworks. - ➤ Warren County Fiscal Court has approved the new Warren County Fire Department — a centralized system combining nine volunteer fire departments — and it will take effect on Sept. 1.
