- ➤ Residents attended the sixth annual Shake Rag Festival in Bowling Green where food, dancing and a history trail brought the community together — the event celebrated the Boots On The Ground theme that honors those who built the district. WBKO
- ➤ BG Freedom Walkers hosted their annual back to school block party at Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary on Saturday, where over 200 backpacks and school supplies were given away for families. - ➤ Bowling Green Police arrested 20-year-old Daedrin Cool for robbing two Corvette ZR1s from the assembly plant Friday night—one was found in Bowling Green and the other recovered three hours away in Martin County, Indiana. WBKO
- ➤ Maggie Cherry, a 26-year-old from a prominent local family, disappeared on June 21, 1917 and her body was found on June 25 near Underwood Bridge on the Barren River with evidence of foul play—officials charged Walter 'Harry' Brashear, though later trials left the case unresolved.
