- ➤ A reported structure fire at a mobile home on the 1300 block of Anna Sandhill Road in Bowling Green was quickly extinguished Tuesday by Richardsville units and part-time Warren County firefighters while additional local agencies responded—showing the new staffing is working effectively. WNKY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students in the region will soon join a new law enforcement and public safety pathway at the Warren County Area Technology Center. The program—developed by WCPS, Bowling Green, and Warren County government—will offer 50 slots led by former Bowling Green Police Academy trainer Brandon Stice, with state funding expected next school year. - ➤ Public schools in Bowling Green received a busful of donated supplies from the annual Stuff the Bus drive to help students start school on Aug. 13—Bowling Green Independent School District and Warren County Public Schools sorted items like backpacks, pencils, and snacks to meet student needs. - ➤ Bowling Green Junior High School has approved plans to renovate and expand to meet the growing need for more than 1,000 students next school year. The project adds 2,500 square feet for science labs, arts programs, and new classrooms, and planning will take most of this year with construction set to start in spring 2026 — expected to finish by late 2027 or early 2028 at an estimated cost of $23 million under a bond issuance.
