ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Scientists uncovered a new shark species, Macadens olsoni, in Mammoth Cave’s Ste. Genevieve Formation which has rock layers from 335 to 340 million years ago — linking the find to a time when a warm, shallow sea covered the region.
