- ➤ The Southern Kentucky Fair starts today at the SOKY Fairgrounds and runs through Saturday with thrill rides, fair food, live entertainment, demo derbies, a figure eight race and track events at 7:30 p.m. A new horse show will begin Tuesday, and admission is $15 from Monday through Wednesday and $20 from Thursday through Saturday (children under 36 inches enter free), while all proceeds benefit youth charities (funding local projects). - ➤ Donald Swain, 46 from Louisville, is accused of shooting Martin Auto Mart manager Dark on June 25 and was arrested on July 10; he will return to court Wednesday for a hearing to decide if his case will go to a grand jury—police say he worked with Darris Allen in the killing.
