- ➤ The Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys and Girls Ranch opened its 50th camping season on June 9 and ran through July 17. The nonprofit camp offered activities such as arts and crafts, nature, sports, swimming, fishing and archery — programs that taught self-esteem and respect for oneself, others and law enforcement.
