Cara Ellinger, originally from Indiana, serves as the coordinator at the Victory Hill Dream Center in Scottsville and has spent over 15 years providing meals and shelter to those in need.

Last winter she logged over 130 hours at a warming shelter and now continues to lead recovery sessions—her work giving hope to vulnerable residents.

Dozens of miniature horses competed in the Classic Showcase at WKU Expo Center this past weekend — organized by the Bluegrass Miniature Horse Club.

Competitors like Dawn Henrich, who drove from Florida to enter four horses, showed skills in movement, jumping, and obstacles to highlight the bond with their horses.

Community members worked for three years to complete a large wooden jaguar sculpture at Natcher Elementary—designed with seating for a full class and a time capsule in its tail—and school officials added it to a geocaching hunt near the ballfield.
