  • This morning, officers from Kentucky State Police Post 3 ran a 4.71-mile route from their station to the SoKY Center in Bowling Green to boost support for Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities. The annual Torch Run—begun in 1981 in Wichita—brings together law enforcement agencies to raise public awareness and promote inclusion.  WNKY
  • House on the Hill, a nonprofit in Warren County that supports families with food programs & housing help, is hosting an art fundraiser this June with work from about 20 local artists. The gallery opens on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 5 & a family event on June 14th at 9:00 a.m. will serve ice cream and a special strawberry Pop Tart flavor made by Meltdown.  WNKY

  • Circa Sports Kentucky will open the state’s largest sportsbook for ages 21 and older this summer at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs in Franklin—leaders guided a media tour on May 28 that showcased the venue's 80-foot-wide LED screen, 31-foot-wide odds board, flexible betting access and live VSiN broadcast studio set up in a 5,100 square-foot space designed for game day fans.  Bowling Green Daily News

  • Mammoth Cave National Park volunteers were honored by the National Park Service Southeast Region; Pam Saberton and Linda Bundy received the Team Impact Award for their 35 years of service while the Fossil Expedition Team earned the Innovation Award for uncovering over 700 fossil specimens and engaging the public.  WCLU Radio

  • The Bowling Green-Warren County Metropolitan Planning Organization is asking for input on Amendment 3 to the Transportation Improvement Plan that uses federal EV funds to add two charging stations in Warren County — public comments will be accepted through June 19.  WBKO

  • Med Center Health will host the Health & Wellness Expo 2025 on Saturday, June 7 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green plus the free event will offer more than 50 booths with health screenings, live demonstrations, and door prizes from local organizations.  WNKY
