- ➤ Park City Tourism announced a time capsule project in honor of America's 250th anniversary that will be sealed this year and opened in 2076 — guidelines for item submissions, which cannot include liquids, flammables, or perishables, are coming soon. WBKO
- ➤ Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society is seeking donations to restock key supplies as summer nears. They need pellet cat litter, puppy formula, non-clumping cat litter, blue Dawn dish soap, and paper towels, and donations can be dropped off at any shelter location. WBKO
- ➤ Warren County Fire Department System is now accepting volunteer firefighter applications at its nine departments (applications open now) to offer residents a chance to learn new skills and serve the community. WBKO
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Duncan Hines Days kicked off Saturday in downtown Bowling Green with a free week of events that include a vintage car show, live music, food vendors, and a parade honoring the city’s original food critic. The festival will run through Saturday, June 6. WBKO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is improving road safety on KY 90 between Sanders Street and U.S. 68 with new passing lanes and drainage work — delays expected on the corridor and on several other roads including near Bowling Green, with most projects finishing later this year and one in 2027.
