- ➤ Aaron Shain, an interdisciplinary studies major from Scottsville, and Emma Snyder, a human services and counseling major from Glasgow, were among 15 Lindsey Wilson College students selected for a nine-day study-abroad program in the United Kingdom—where they visited London, Lincoln, York and Cambridge. - ➤ WKU Innovation Campus held its second Children's Entrepreneur Market at the community farmers market where over 55 kids aged 5—17 sold handmade goods like baked treats, jewelry, and crafts to learn how to run a business. - ➤ Zoe Avery of Bowling Green was awarded a $1,000 Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grant and is a health science major at Western Kentucky University who will study abroad in Tanzania. - ➤ Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nguyen, a 2024 graduate in Chinese and TESL from Western Kentucky University, has been selected for a Fulbright US Student Program English Teaching Assistantship in Taiwan and will serve as a cultural ambassador in English classrooms throughout the upcoming academic year—she is the daughter of Hoa and Lam Nguyen from Bowling Green. - ➤ Officials are planning a 32-mile multi-use trail from Fountain Square Park to Mammoth Cave National Park to offer an alternative to car travel and boost tourism in the region. A public session is scheduled Wednesday at BRADD’s office at 177 Graham Avenue from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. — residents are invited to share ideas and ask questions about the proposal.
