- ➤ Western Kentucky’s softball team placed four players on CSC’s Academic All-District list Tuesday as Erica Houge, Morgan Sharpe, Maci Masters and Jenna Blanton met the GPA requirement for honors. - ➤ The Bowling Green Police Department will host its biannual recruitment open house on Thursday, June 4 at the David Whitson Public Safety Training Center. Community members can meet officers, tour police vehicles, and ask questions about the police academy and training facility. WBKO

- ➤ Last Tuesday, local leaders met at The Capitol after screening 'Food, Insecure' to discuss food insecurity and new relief ideas. Organizers from Hunger Free BG examined solutions such as subsidized bus passes and better transit with local groups (including Feeding America KY and the Community Foundation) to lower food costs.
