- ➤ Randy Huff, owner of local car dealerships, was sentenced on Wednesday to 18 months in federal prison for odometer tampering—he replaced instrument clusters on dozens of vehicles so that drivers received lower mileage readings and was ordered to pay $40,000 in restitution. - ➤ Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nguyen, a 2024 WKU graduate, was awarded a Fulbright US Student Grant & will serve as an English Teaching Assistant in Taiwan during the upcoming academic year, representing the United States as a cultural ambassador. WBKO
- ➤ Two local high school teams won top honors in Envirothon, an environmental science contest where students worked on tests in soils, forestry, aquatics, and wildlife. Gatton Academy’s team took first overall among 38 teams statewide — while the Greenwood High FFA team tied for first in one contest area and will compete internationally in Canada in July.
