- ➤ The Bowling Green theater community mourns the passing of longtime actor Neva Gielow, who earned a degree from Western Kentucky University and served on the board of Fountain Square Players. Neva was known for her warm smile and comic timing, and her family asks for contributions to the Public Theatre of Kentucky to honor her legacy + keep her memory alive. WNKY
- ➤ Betty Birge (died 2011) and her son David Ray Birge (died 2005) made over 100 quilts together that gained national recognition when pieces were accepted into museum collections such as the Smithsonian Museum of American History and the Kentucky Museum at WKU.
