- ➤ Resident Ashley Yawn and partners will drive their Twisted Sisters Brunch and Lunch food truck to London on Memorial Day to deliver meals and essential supplies to storm victims after Friday’s deadly storms. They plan to serve 700 to 900 people (at the Wildcat Harley-Davidson dealership) and are using community donations (with about $700 raised) to support recovery efforts. WBKO
- ➤ Last weekend, violent tornadoes hit London and left at least 19 people dead while a mobile home park near the airport took heavy damage—one resident said the wind nearly lifted him into the air. - ➤ Toys for Tots expanded its pilot program for nursing home residents by working with directors at 29 facilities to drop off monthly care packages—programs that now serve seniors including many veterans.
