- ➤ Michelle Young, an education advocate and former 'Bachelorette' star, will speak in Bowling Green on June 16 at 6 p.m.—a free event hosted by the Warren County Public Library—to highlight her ongoing work in education, activism and youth empowerment. WBKO
- ➤ At the Gatton Academy graduation ceremony on May 10th, WKU received a $5.25 million donation from the Bill Gatton Foundation—$5 million went to an endowed fund for scholarships, internships and study abroad opportunities at the academy while $250,000 supported LifeWorks’ Bridge to Independence Scholarship Fund for adults with autism. - ➤ On May 6, city commissioners approved a $900,000 change order with contractor Scott & Ritter Inc. to fix sinkholes caused by April floods. Bowling Green Public Works is tracking over 30 sinkholes—repairs on roads and fields may cost more and residents are asked to report any new holes at 270-393-3628. WBKO
