  • The Bowling Green Fire Department will host a paver placement ceremony (honoring fallen firefighters and retired members) at Fire Station 7, 385 Lovers Lane on Tuesday, May 13 at 4:30 p.m. Family, friends, and community members are invited to attend.  WBKO
  • The Warren County Public Library Board appointed Alex Love as executive director today — he served as interim director since January and will continue to lead library operations and programs in Warren County.  WNKY

HEALTH NEWS

  • Graves Gilbert Clinic (GGC) said on Wednesday that CEO Mike D’Eramo left his job, and CFO Chris N. Vowels will act as interim chief while the clinic begins searching for a new leader. Patient care will not be affected by the change.  WNKY

SPORTS NEWS

  • Warren East defeated Allen County — Scottsville 3 — 2 in eight innings Tuesday with key RBIs from Cunningham and Barbalas. The Raiders will play at Greenwood today.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • South Warren junior Avery Brooks led the Spartans with 14 kills and three aces to win the Region 1 championship on Monday, May 4 — earning back-to-back regional titles in their second season. The team will host a first-round state tournament game next Monday, May 11.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • The Bowling Green baseball team clinched the top seed in the District 14 Tournament with a 4-2 win against the Spartans on Tuesday at South Warren High School. Jack Cowan pitched five innings, and the team will face Warren Central next.  Bowling Green Daily News
