  • Morgantown Bank & Trust held a scholarship ceremony on April 23 to honor four seniors in Bowling Green. Reed Noble of Butler County High School, Ashley Overbay of South Warren High School, Kaidence Dunagan of Bowling Green High School, and Case Hooten of Butler County High School each received a $2,500 scholarship.  Bowling Green Daily News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two people died and two others were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash occurred Friday night in the 8800 block of Ky-185 in Warren County—Pamela Hayes, 62, and Ronald Hayes, 60, of Caneyville lost control and collided with a Toyota 4Runner driven by Bowling Green resident Elizabeth Kemp, 36, leaving both her and a child with non-life threatening injuries.  Bowling Green Daily News

  • BGFiestaval returns for its ninth year with live music and authentic food to celebrate Bowling Green’s growing Hispanic community—organizers plan to expand the event and will hold another celebration in September.  WBKO

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Western Kentucky University revealed plans to renovate Cherry Hall at an open house on May 1 — the project will preserve the historic marble steps while adding modern classrooms, collaborative spaces, sensory rooms, and updated technology. The renovation will start this summer with $75 million in funds and finish before a fall ribbon cutting in 2027.  Bowling Green Daily News

  • Kentucky is offering a new 'Skip the Line' driver license renewal program that lets residents use online, in-office, or mail-in forms to avoid waiting at licensing branches — Gov. Andy Beshear said the options help reduce long wait times. Some still must visit offices for changes like address updates, REAL ID upgrades, or new driver permits.  WBKO
