  • Car lovers have gathered at the National Corvette Museum for Bash + an annual event featuring car shows and guided pit stops where fans learn about Corvettes; the event runs through Saturday and welcomes everyone even if they do not own a Corvette.  WNKY
  • Lost River Cave has launched a bourbon raffle to raise funds for its upkeep and education — its historic grist mill powered by underground water helped shape Kentucky bourbon — inviting locals to support their shared heritage.  WNKY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Bowling Green Independent Schools were named a Best Community for Music Education for the sixth time by The NAMM Foundation, recognizing a commitment to high-quality music programs for students. The district is one of six recipients in Kentucky for 2026.  WBKO
  • Daryl Woods has been selected as the new principal at Henry F. Moss Middle School and will take over on July 1. He has 24 years of experience including at a school that earned the National Blue Ribbon award (Warren County Area Technology Center) according to Warren County Public Schools.  WNKY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Kentucky Citizen Foster Care Review Board is asking locals in 54 counties to volunteer to help review foster care cases and send recommendations to judges. Volunteers must pass background and registry checks and complete six hours of training via Zoom — all to help children stay connected to their communities.  WBKO

HEALTH NEWS

  • Med Center Health held a ribbon cutting for Bowling Green's first hybrid emergency and urgent care facility—located at 457 Lovers Lane—that will begin serving patients Monday, April 27 to match care with diagnosis and offer cost savings.  WBKO

SPORTS NEWS

  • Western Kentucky University won its second consecutive C-USA women's golf title on Wednesday at Stonebriar Country Club after freshman Reagan Ramage posted a 7-under 65 round, & Abbie Lee tied for 28th in her final college round, earning WKU an NCAA Tournament bid as they await regionals on Apr. 29.  WCLU Radio
  • WKU Baseball defeated Austin Peay 6-4 on Wednesday at Nick Denes Field after Cael Frost's double gave them the lead in the seventh. The Hilltoppers will host Kennesaw State today at 6 p.m. — the game will stream on ESPN+ with Varsity Network audio.  WNKY
