EDUCATION NEWS

  • WKU nursing students in a Health Promotion and Disease Prevention class went barefoot on the grass outside Ogden College Hall on Friday, Apr. 10 to practice grounding for better physical and mental health, leaving shoes and phones inside to focus on interacting with classmates.  College Heights Herald

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents in Warren County and south central Kentucky face an Enhanced Brush Fire Conditions Warning today due to limited rainfall, low humidity + windy conditions. The National Weather Service advises residents to avoid outdoor burning to help keep fires at bay.  WBKO

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Sunday, Bowling Green senior John Mosley and junior Grayson Rodgers pitched a two-hit shutout as the Purples beat Calloway County 8-0 at Harold J. Stahl Field. The team will host Glasgow today and improve their record to 13-1.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Bowling Green Hot Rods finished Saturday with a rain-shortened 7-6 win over Rome and a first-homestand record of 6-2. Manager Rafeal Valenzuela said they will face their first road test on Tuesday in Greenville & build on a five-game winning streak.  Bowling Green Daily News
