- ➤ A federal grand jury in Bowling Green indicted 31-year-old convicted felon Christopher Tyler Wilson on charges of conspiring to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a fentanyl mixture and illegally possessing a firearm, and a U.S. Magistrate Judge ordered his detention pending trial. - ➤ Cameron Huggins, a Franklin-Simpson High School senior, earned the Girl Scout Gold Award on March 30 after building a 12-person hammock unit at Girl Scout Camp Houchens in Bowling Green—she also made videos on how to hang the hammocks correctly. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Eastern Kentucky University became the largest regional public university in overall degree-seeking enrollment last fall by enrolling 14,431 students, which is 277 more than Western Kentucky University. - ➤ State officials report that while floodwaters have receded in some areas today, many state regulated roads remain closed—this includes the northbound on and off ramps of Interstate 165 in Butler County while the southbound ramps have reopened. - ➤ A federal judge denied Holley Performance Products' request to alter a $2 million-plus judgment after the company was found to have breached its settlement with Specialty Auto Parts USA (the ruling ordered disgorgement of $2,028,264.19 from Ultra Aluminum HP Carburetors). Holley filed notice to appeal on April 2 and must post an appeal bond of $2,231,090.61 (all proceedings are stayed pending a decision from the Sixth Circuit). Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Flood waters began receding in District 3 and the southbound on and off ramp at Exit 26 on Interstate 165 in Butler reopened while many roads remained closed. Crews checked routes and warned drivers not to drive around barricades — follow posted signs. WNKY
- ➤ Kentuckians impacted by severe weather starting Feb. 14 have until Nov. 3 to file their tax returns and pay any taxes that were originally due by April 15. The IRS has automatically identified taxpayers in the affected area and invites those living outside the region to request relief by calling its Special Services. WBKO

- ➤ Doctors at Med Center Health’s Women’s Pavilion say women should get check-ups if they feel strong pelvic pain that might signal endometriosis— a condition where tissue grows outside the uterus and causes pain during periods, sex or when urinating.
