- ➤ On March 27, Western Kentucky University students held the Midnight on the Hill fundraiser at the Preston Health and Activities Center and raised over $122,000 to support patient care and research at St. Jude (the funds cover treatment, travel, housing and food costs). WBKO
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Cambridge Drive at Grinstead Way remains closed due to a reported sinkhole + city crews will work for about a month to repair the roadway while drivers use alternate routes. WNKY
- ➤ Crews from Scott & Ritter began repairs Monday after a sinkhole opened at the corner of Grinstead Way and Cambridge Way off Fairview Avenue. City officials say the roads will remain closed for at least 30 days while crews work around a gas line and water main. Bowling Green Daily News

- ➤ LifeWorks for Autism offers a two-year Transition Academy and a Bridge Academy that teach autistic and neurodiverse adults job and life skills; over 95 percent of its participants have secured employment. - ➤ Western Kentucky’s softball team beat New Mexico State 9-4 Sunday at the NM State Softball Complex in Las Cruces, New Mexico (their first road series win this season). The team returns to Bowling Green to host Sam Houston Thursday at 6 p.m. at the WKU Softball Complex. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Western Kentucky and Marshall will renew their football rivalry with a game in Bowling Green on Sept. 13, 2031 and another in Huntington on Sept. 18, 2032 — the matchups will be their first since 2021. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ The Western Kentucky women’s golf team played at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Georgia on Sunday and recorded a 9-over par 297 & tied for fifth overall before concluding the event on Monday. Bowling Green Daily News
