- ➤ WCRJ received 100 Recovery Backpacks Monday from the Southern Kentucky Reentry Council and the Barren River Office of Drug Control Policy to help released inmates access hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, and more) and vital support. The program, which delivered 1,500 backpacks since 2015, will soon expand to nearby jails. Bowling Green Daily News
- ➤ Families are invited to join a free Easter Egg Hunt at Warren Central High School’s football field on Saturday, Mar. 28, with registration for giveaways beginning at 2 p.m. and the hunt starting at 3 p.m. featuring 50,000 eggs, bunny photos, ice cream, and games. The event will move to Sunday, Mar. 29 if it rains. WNKY
- ➤ After nearly a year of repairs following the 2025 floods, the Green River Ferry has reopened at Mammoth Cave to help park staff and residents shorten a drive that used to take up to an hour. The ferry will operate as long as the river stays between 9 and 30ft. WNKY

- ➤ THRIVE, a free two-week soft skills training pilot at WKU South Campus, finished on March 19 when participants practiced CPR and workplace basics with the American Red Cross; the program by Goodwill Opportunity Center and Leadership Strategies Group helped seven improve job readiness. - ➤ Western Kentucky forward Grant Newell earned CSC Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday, Mar. 24.
