  • A final ride was held Tuesday for retired deputy Joseph Green, who died March 10 and was honored at Hardy & Son Funeral Home and Crescent Hill Cemetery. Family and friends recalled his storytelling and kind spirit that united our community.  WNKY

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Warren County Public Library hosted its inaugural Scholastic Art & Writing Regional Awards Ceremony on Saturday night at Capitol Theatre, honoring teenage artists & writers from south-central Kentucky.  WBKO

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Warren County Public Schools will host its Spring 2026 Art Show from March 25 to April 18, where students from K–12 will display artwork and receive awards for top entries. The event is sponsored by Crowd South and the WCPS Education Foundation.  WNKY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Beshear announced tentative funeral plans for Sergeant Benjamin Pennington, who died on March 8 from injuries in an enemy attack at a Saudi base. The service is set for Saturday, March 21 at Central Hardin High School in Cecilia, with interment at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff.  WBKO

HEALTH NEWS

  • T.J. Regional Health was named one of Kentucky’s Best Places to Work for the third year in a row by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society of Human Resource Management (an honor based on employee surveys and policies). Neil Thornbury, CEO, said the award reflects the team’s commitment to quality care.  WBKO

  • Mike Gaddie, WKU's senior executive director of sports medicine, discussed National Athletic Training Month on Topper Tuesday, highlighting the efforts of Hilltopper trainers during a studio interview with Samantha Money that aired this week in Bowling Green.  WNKY
  • Tommy Adams was named the new head football coach Monday at Greenwood High. A 1997 graduate who has worked with every past coach there, Adams said — he will build his team with discipline and smart play as they prepare for spring ball.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • At the Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee Monday, Western Kentucky’s men's golf team shot a 14‐over 302 in the first round and a 12‐over 300 in the second to tie for 13th at 26‐over 602 overall. Coach Austin King said the team rebounded well despite tough conditions.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • Western Kentucky guard Teagan Moore earned NABC All-District Second Team honors Tuesday morning, recognizing his standout season with averages of 18.7 points and 5.6 rebounds during the 2025-26 campaign.
