  • Kentucky Legal Aid will run free consumer law clinics for tornado survivors dealing with ongoing financial challenges from the December 2021 storms. One clinic is held at 1700 Destiny Lane in Bowling Green (10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today) and eligibility guidelines apply.  WNKY

  • Dr. Thomas Wells of Graves Gilbert Clinic advised residents to start colon cancer screenings at age 45 during National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, saying early detection can help prevent advanced cases and urging a checkup for any changes in bowel habits or unexplained weight loss.  WBKO
  • The Medical Center at Bowling Green has performed over 500 procedures using the Impella with SmartAssist to support patients with weakened hearts; hospital officials said the heart pump reduces the heart’s workload and delivers blood and oxygen to vital organs.  WBKO

  • Rockfield Elementary School student Knox Potter won first-place honors in the boys’ 10 and under (9-hole) division at the Bluegrass Golf Tour’s Combo No. 1, held Saturday at Danville Country Club and Sunday at Tates Creek Golf Course.
