  • Bryan Russell, chief facilities officer at WKU, recalled his 15 years at Detrex in Bowling Green—where he learned skills and worked with good mentors—as a time marked by pride and growth. The Detrex Corporation, which opened in 1955 as a major local employer that built equipment for projects like Patriot missiles, played an important role in the community until its factory closed in 1993.  Bowling Green Daily News
  • A Hart County man who was reported missing on March 9 between Munfordville and Hardyville was found safe after a search covering over 10,000 acres that used 524 volunteers+officials on foot and by air, and he was spotted near a covered boat on Saturday+prayer requests for his family have been made.  WBKO

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Kentucky State Police said on Saturday that Alberto Alejandro Alamo Ramos—of Hialeah—was pronounced dead near the 14.4-mile marker on I-165 after his car exited the roadway and collided with a Toyota Tacoma driven by a 47-year-old Owensboro resident, and a passenger from his vehicle along with two Tacoma passengers were taken to Bowling Green Medical Center for treatment.  Bowling Green Daily News

  • A Bowling Green man was arrested in Allen County after Kentucky State Police tipped off deputies on Sunday, and the wanted man—Jaden Pildis—was caught after a brief foot pursuit outside an apartment complex and is now held at the Allen County Detention Center.  WNKY

  • Local nonprofit LifeWorks for Autism is expanding its two-year Transition Academy to include a commuter-friendly On the Go program that will launch this fall to help young autistic adults build independent living skills. The program targets adults aged 21 to 30 who commit to a full-time schedule — experts say this approach supports high employment outcomes, with scholarships and varying fees available to reduce financial barriers.  Bowling Green Daily News
