GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, the Warren Fiscal Court approved an ordinance that will impose a license fee on insurance companies to raise more than $4 million a year for upgrades to volunteer fire departments and for hiring part-time firefighters starting July 1. The court also approved spending over $1.7 million to purchase three 3,000-gallon tanker trucks—steps aimed at boosting fire response times and ultimately lowering local insurance costs.
