- ➤ WKU police are investigating a cell phone taped to a bathroom fixture in Regents Hall after officers responded on March 8 around 8 p.m., collecting the phone and a laptop for forensic review as a person of interest has been identified. WNKY
- ➤ A Hickman man 31-year-old Christopher Tyler Wilson was charged with planning to sell drugs and with being a felon in possession of a firearm after agents found counterfeit pills and more items at his home; he went before a judge on March 12 and may face up to 20 years in prison if found guilty. - ➤ Bowling Green Parks and Recreation will hold a community meeting on Monday at the Sloan Convention Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for residents to share ideas for new park projects, and parks planner Haley Parrett said input from that session and later meetings (including an online survey coming soon) will shape a new ten-year master plan. - ➤ Officials urge Bowling Green residents to prepare for severe weather by limiting travel, checking vehicles for flashlights and batteries, and packing emergency kits with snacks, water and first aid supplies. Deputy director Charlie O’Neal (15 water rescues during the last event) warned that flooding can hide dangerous water depths and advised citizens to seek shelter at community buildings if caught on the road.
